Purpose and scope boundaries

What Saberra is for
Saberra builds institutional memory for organizations. The system captures what actually happens in an organization's meetings and correspondence, and turns it into a record that shows its sources, so that decisions, commitments and roles survive the people who made them.
The purpose behind the product: organizations lose their memory faster than they lose their people, and most governance failure is a memory failure wearing another costume. A group that cannot reconstruct why it decided something will re-decide it badly, and a group that cannot show who agreed to what will resolve disputes by seniority.
The purpose statement
Saberra LLC is an ordinary New Hampshire LLC with no public-benefit designation. The purpose below is therefore not state-filed. It lives here, published, and in the operating agreement, and it is protected by reserved matter 1 in document 01, which means it cannot be amended by the founder alone once a Steward is in post.
That is a weaker guarantee than a charter and we say so rather than implying otherwise.
The purpose of the company is to strengthen the capacity of organizations to govern themselves truthfully and durably, by making their decisions, commitments, and lines of authority legible, source-backed, and portable, and by ensuring that the organizations it serves retain ownership and control of their own institutional records at all times.
The second clause is the operative one. It carries the customer data commitments in document 06, and reserved matter 1 is what stops a future owner quietly reversing them to improve retention metrics. Without a Steward holding that reserved matter, this paragraph is an intention.
What Saberra will not do
These are scope boundaries, not values. Each is falsifiable, each is true today, and each would be a breach worth reporting if it stopped being true.
1. We will not sell, rent, or broker customer data.
Not aggregated, not anonymized, not as "market insights."
2. We will not train models on customer data.
The subprocessor arrangement forbids it and the Trust Center states it.
3. We will not hold customer records.
Customer records live in the customer's own workspace, under the customer's own account. See document 06.
4. We will not accept capital that carries governance rights.
See document 03.
5. We will not let the system commit an act of governance.
Sera may retrieve, compare, draft and propose. A record is created, changed, or archived only after a human confirms that specific action. This is enforced by withholding the tools, not by instructing the model.
6. We will not require a customer to adopt any governance model.
Not self-management, not sociocracy, not consent-based decision making, not ours. The system adapts to the organization it serves. Sera is explicitly prohibited from proposing a governance model unless asked, and from raising a structural critique unprompted.
7. We will not use a non-disclosure agreement to suppress a complaint about Saberra's own conduct.
See document 04.
What is in scope for change without a structural review
Pricing, packaging, product features, the client roster, the technology stack, and the composition of the partner program. These are ordinary business decisions.
What requires a structural review
Any change to the seven boundaries above, to the reserved matters in document 01, to the Regen Pool commitment, or to the customer data commitments. Process in document 05.
What requires the Steward's consent
Any change to the purpose statement above, and any change to boundaries 3, 4, 5 or 7. Listed as reserved matters in document 01.
Because Saberra has no charter, this is the only thing protecting the purpose. It carries weight that a certificate would otherwise have carried.
